Russia will become the fifth largest pork exporter in the world by 2025.

In the first half of 2025, Russia exported 324,000 tons of pork, and this figure is expected to reach 380,000 to 390,000 tons for the full year. Key importing countries include Belarus , Vietnam , China , Armenia, and Kazakhstan , where demand for Russian pork is growing.

However, it's worth noting that the increase in export volumes also put pressure on the domestic market. Pork prices in Russia have increased by 15-20% compared to last year, prompting consumers to switch to more affordable alternatives such as chicken. Nevertheless, successful adaptation of Russian producers to the new conditions will strengthen their position internationally and develop the country's entire agricultural sector.
