
He emphasized that Russia can make a significant contribution to FAO's rural women support programs by sharing expertise in modern technologies, state support for female farming, and the development of women's entrepreneurship. This, in turn, will contribute to economic growth and improve living standards in rural areas. Kobyakov also noted that the majority of agricultural workers in Russia are women, and their level of education significantly exceeds that of men. More than half of them have a university degree. Ahead of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, announced for 2026, FAO hopes to find new ways to collaborate with Russia to improve the rights and opportunities of women in rural areas worldwide.
