Russian authorities restrict import of Spanish veterinary vaccines due to suspicions of using contaminated raw materials

Rosselkhoznadzor repeatedly requested details about the origin of SPF eggs from the Spanish agency AEMPS, but received a negative answer. This creates a real risk to the health of animals in Russia, since the use of contaminated raw materials can contribute to the spread of infectious diseases.

Spanish manufacturers such as Laboratorios Hipra are known for their vaccines for farm animals, while CZ Vaccines offers immunobiological products for disease prevention. However, due to concerns about Spanish vaccines, Russian manufacturers such as the Federal Center for Animal Health, Stavropol Biofactory and Vetbiokhim offer alternative products that meet all safety standards.
