Over the past five years, sausage exports have grown by 26% and reached 2.5 thousand tons in 2022. In 2023, the main EXPORT destinations are Kazakhstan (59%), Belarus (7%) and Azerbaijan (3%). These countries are showing increased interest in Russian sausages and are becoming key partners in this area.
However, at the same time, supplies of semi-finished MEAT products from RUSSIA decreased by 6% over the eight months of this year compared to the same period last year, amounting to 47.7 thousand tons. Over the past five years, supplies of semi-finished products have increased by 59% and reached 74 thousand tons. The main importers of Russian semi-finished products are Kazakhstan (60%), Azerbaijan (9%), Tajikistan (5%) and Saudi Arabia (4%).
it is interesting to note that imports of sausages in January-August 2023 increased by 35%, reaching 1.3 thousand tons, and semi-finished products - by 28%, amounting to 47 thousand tons. This indicates a growing demand for these products in the domestic market.
Domestic sausage production in Russia also continues to grow. Over five years, it increased by 6% and exceeded the 2 million tons mark in 2022, and the production of semi-finished meat products increased by 34%, reaching 4 million tons. This indicates the stable development of the meat industry in the country.
In addition, exports of raw meat from Russia also continue to increase. According to the data, pork exports in January-August 2023 increased by 38% year-on-year, to 148 thousand tons. Main buyers: Vietnam (42%) and the Republic of Belarus (32%), as well as Kazakhstan (4%) and Serbia (4%).
