Russian agricultural exporters arrived with a business mission to Uzbekistan

The business mission in Uzbekistan, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal State Budgetary Institution Agroexport, started on April 25, the Ministry of Agriculture reports . In a statement, the Ministry of Agriculture reports that the mission included representatives of 26 largest Russian companies producing agricultural products and heads of industry unions.

Uzbekistan is a reliable partner of RUSSIA in the field of agricultural trade, the Ministry of Agriculture noted. In 2022 alone, the trade turnover in this industry increased by 40%. Russia exports mainly oil and fat products and chocolate to Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan imports fresh vegetables and fruits to Russia .

The business mission will last until April 27, the ministry said. During the mission, the parties plan to discuss issues related to increasing trade in both directions, issues of veterinary and phytosanitary control, possible investments in the agricultural sector and, separately, joint work on the development of dairy farming.
