
As part of these activities, officials of the State Veterinary Supervision Department of the Department in August 2023 inspected 542 consignments of controlled cargo at the temporary storage warehouse, which amounted to 5.1 tons of livestock products, 54 companion animals, 147.3 million pieces of entomophagous insects. No violations were found.
During the inspection of hand luggage of passengers arriving from the Republics of Azerbaijan , Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, 218 consignments of controlled cargo of unknown origin and without veterinary accompanying documents were identified and not allowed to move. The total weight of livestock products transported by citizens with violations was 355.2 kg.
Products suspended for movement in accordance with current legislation are sent for destruction under the supervision of specialists from the Rosselkhoznadzor Office .
The decision was made on the basis of the requirements of Part X of the “Regulations on a unified procedure for carrying out veterinary control (supervision) at the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union and on the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union”, approved by Decision of the Customs Union Commission dated June 18, 2010 No. 317.
