Rosselkhoznadzor has uncovered counterfeit meat products in the Irkutsk region.

Main violations:

• 13 samples of dairy products (includingcottage cheese and sour cream) with deviations in fatty acid composition

• 1 sample of semi-finished poultry MEAT products

• The presence of vegetable fats instead of MILK fats in butter is 72.5%

• Inconsistency in the composition of frozen chicken semi-finished products

Particular attention was drawn to products from a supplier in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where violations were discovered in the production of cottage cheese and sour cream.

Scope of inspections:

• A total of 136 food samples were analyzed

• 618 laboratory tests were conducted

• 14 non-conformities to quality requirements were identified

The agency continues to monitor food products in the region, paying particular attention to the authenticity of dairy products. All identified cases of adulteration will be referred to the competent authorities for action.
