According to the scenario, a camel displaying signs of plague was discovered on I.I. Ivanov's private farm in Kaa-Khem. The farm also contained two dogs, five horses, and three more camels. Samples from the three camels were sent to the Tuva Veterinary Laboratory for testing, and one of them tested positive. As a result, a state of emergency was declared in the Kyzyl district, and the veterinary service convened an emergency meeting of the emergency anti-epidemic commission.
During the exercise, procedures for collecting samples, containing outbreaks, and disinfecting and disposing of products were practiced. Participants identified the boundaries of the contaminated zone, possible sources of infection, and routes of virus spread. The readiness of equipment for operational response was also tested. Specialists from all services demonstrated a high level of performance, confirming their preparedness to respond to dangerous disease outbreaks.
