The Horriot platform was developed and launched by Rosselkhoznadzor for registration and accounting of animals. This is a component of the VetIS system. Currently, data on farm animals kept at various livestock enterprises in the country and in private farms is entered into Horriot.
Federal Law No. 221-FZ of June 28, 2022 made it the responsibility of farmers to mark and record farm animals in the Russian Federation. According to this law, labeling of farm animals becomes mandatory from March 1, 2024.
