Rosselkhoznadzor allowed the import of hatching eggs and chickens from three provinces of the Netherlands

From March 17, 2021, the ban on the supply of hatching eggs and day-old chicks produced in hatcheries and breeding poultry farms of 21 companies in the Netherlands has been lifted.

We are talking about enterprises located in three Dutch provinces in the east and northeast of the country: Drenthe, Overijssel and Limburg, as far as possible from regions with an unfavorable epizootic situation for highly pathogenic avian influenza.

The decision to resume the supply of pedigree poultry products was made based on an analysis of data from the Dutch veterinary service on measures to eliminate foci of highly pathogenic avian influenza registered at the end of 2020 and the past period of 2021, and to prevent further spread of the virus. The information was provided on the basis of questionnaires developed by ROSSELKHOZNADZOR specialists . Restrictions on the import of hatching eggs and breeding stock from the Netherlands were introduced in November last year.
