Rosselkhoznadzor held negotiations with the competent department of Thailand on mutual supplies of livestock products and animal feed

The parties discussed a number of important issues related to mutual supplies of livestock products and animal feed.

Currently, 13 Russian enterprises producing pork and pork by-products, 2 poultry processing enterprises and 6 companies producing feed, including feed for non-productive animals, are being certified for the possibility of supplying their products to Thailand.

In addition, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR has been waiting for a long time from the competent department of Thailand to approve veterinary certificates to begin exporting various types of products, such as: canned food, sausages and other types of prepared MEAT products; animal feed of plant origin; feed and feed additives of animal origin; highly processed egg products , including dried egg whites, fermented and pasteurized; live aquatic animals, etc.

The parties also discussed issues related to the supply of livestock products from Thailand to RUSSIA. Rosselkhoznadzor informed about its readiness to conduct an inspection of Thai feed production companies already supplying to Russia. The inspection will be carried out in order to confirm the guarantees previously issued by the Thai side on the compliance of enterprises with the requirements and standards of the EAEU .

The Thai side also raised the issue of lifting restrictions on 6 fish processing enterprises. Rosselkhoznadzor noted that currently the competent Thai agency has provided an incomplete amount of materials to make a decision on the resumption of supplies from these enterprises. Rosselkhoznadzor reported that it expects additional materials containing the results of investigations into all cases of identified inconsistencies.

At the end of the meeting, the Thai side noted its interest in increasing mutual supplies of livestock products with Russia and assured of a thorough analysis of issues of mutual interest. The Russian side expressed hope for a quick and positive resolution.
