Inspectors from the Department of State Veterinary Supervision at the Russian Federation State Border and Transport in the Republic of Mordovia inspected and processed 35,400 day-old breeding chicks arriving from France at the republic's poultry farm for further maintenance and breeding.
The young birds were found to be healthy upon clinical examination. Veterinary accompanying documents for the live birds were duly completed. The importer complied with all animal import requirements and the veterinary certificate requirements for breeding poultry, as agreed between the European Union and the Russian Federation. After unloading, the vehicles were cleaned and disinfected in a designated area. Quarantine measures have been developed and implemented under the supervision of the State Veterinary Service of the Republic of Mordovia in accordance with the Uniform Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements for Goods Subject to Veterinary Control (Supervision).
