Rosselkhoznadzor prevented the import of a consignment of meat products and fish during the inspection of hand luggage of citizens entering the Amur region

When inspecting the hand luggage of two citizens entering the Amur region from CHINA , on January 28 and 29, service specialists discovered two shipments of MEAT and fish (about 40 kg) transported in violation of the Unified Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements of the Customs Union.

Livestock products were confiscated and destroyed, and the owners of the cargo were brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 10.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation with the imposition of fines. 

Let us remind you that products of animal origin can be imported into the Russian Federation only if they are in industrial packaging and accompanied by veterinary documents that characterize the territorial, species origin and safety of the said cargo, as well as confirming the epizootic safety of the place of its origin.
