The Penza Region's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) conducted over 700 laboratory tests of food products.

Of these, 627 samples were sent to the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Saratov Regional Veterinary Laboratory," and 102 to the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VGNKI." The results showed that 49 samples did not meet established safety and quality standards. Excessive drug residues were detected, as well as discrepancies in the composition of dairy products and microbial contamination. The Department notified the manufacturers and relevant agencies to take the necessary measures.
