Rosprirodnadzor fined the Belgorod pig farm "Sibagro" for environmental violations

Rosprirodnadzor revealed more than 80 violations of environmental legislation in APK PromAgro LLC (pork producer, Belgorod region, part of the Sibagro agricultural holding), the press service of the Central Black Earth Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Natural Resources reports.

Rosprirodnadzor inspectors conducted a scheduled on-site inspection of the Oskolsky Bacon-1, Oskolsky Bacon-2, Oskolsky Bacon-3 pig-breeding complexes owned by APK Promagro LLC and a plant for the production and processing of MEAT products located in the Starooskolsky urban district of the Belgorod Region.

"During the inspection 81 violations of environmental legislation in the field of environmental protection and atmospheric air, as well as in the field of waste management were identified. Thus, the enterprise accumulated waste outside the places of their accumulation and did not fully control the protection of atmospheric air in 2020," the message says.

The management of the enterprise was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 8.1, Article 8.5 and Part 1 of Art. 8.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation The total amount of fines amounted to 420 thousand rubles.

"The enterprise is obliged to eliminate the violations within the allotted time. The department will conduct an unscheduled inspection to assess the implementation of the instructions," the department's press release says.

As Interfax was specified in the press service of PromAgro, work is currently underway to eliminate the identified violations, in addition, the previously planned sanitation is being carried out at the pig farms.

Earlier it was reported that Sibagro JSC planned to close the Promagro pig complex acquired in the spring of 2021 for a year to upgrade production: the premises will be freed from animals, all sites will be completely disinfected and part of the buildings will be overhauled, after the sanitation, a population of pigs with new genetics will be brought in. The renovated pig farm will release the first products in the second half of 2023.

APK PromAgro LLC, registered in 2014 on the basis of six companies, is one of the largest pork producers in the Black Earth region.

As reported, in April 2021, Siberian Agrarian Group JSC (Sibagro) completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of ABH PromAgro JSC, as a result of which the beneficial owner of Rogovatovskaya Niva Agrofirma PJSC has changed.
