The voluntary standard assesses the main directions of the impact of the brand and the enterprise on society and the climate, and also identifies three levels of practices and mandatory criteria - basic, medium and advanced. The standard and its methodological basis open up the possibility of creating a unified register of "green" manufacturers and brands, explained Anastasia Popova, President of the League of Green Brands and CEO of Project +1.
"The unified register will simplify and adjust the processes of green procurement on the side of large companies and create prospects for such public procurement, as well as help systematize scoring procedures in the evaluation of green and climate projects applying for funding," she stressed.
Before being transferred to Roskachestvo, the standard has already passed several hearings among representatives of the target business community.
