Meat Market: Russia Expands Export Opportunities to China

According to Evgeniya Lazutkina from ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , 81 Russian MEAT processing plants have received certificates for EXPORT to CHINA , of which 56 specialize in the production of poultry meat and by-products. Experts discussed the export potential and the current state of supplies, emphasizing that in the context of increased costs and logistical difficulties, maintaining high product quality remains important.

Pork exports to China have shown significant growth, increasing by 20% in the first nine months of 2024. it is predicted that supplies could reach 50 thousand tons by the end of the year. Russian turkey meat products have also strengthened their position, taking first place among supplier countries in the Chinese market.

During the conference, not only the successes but also the challenges that Russian manufacturers face in the competitive Chinese market were discussed. Participants emphasized the need to adapt to local consumption patterns and effectively use marketing tools to promote products.
