The capacity of the food tech market in Russia reached 373 billion rubles in 2021. This was announced by Yulia Mikhaleva, Deputy Head of Roskachestvo, at the round table “Foodtech: the path of quick investment or risk?” within the framework of SPIEF-2022.
According to Yulia Mikhaleva, the Russian food tech market in the future can take up to 5-15% of the world market.
“Until recently, the food tech segment showed very large growth, but it’s good to jump from zero. In the near future, the dynamics is likely to slow down,” predicts Yulia Mikhaleva.
According to her, many Russians are already interested in food tech, but a fairly large part of consumers mistakenly understand it as only food delivery. In fact, foodtech is a whole chain that includes the cultivation, production of food, as well as their delivery to the end consumer, but only at the final stage, the expert explained.
