ASF emergency regime introduced in the north of the Saratov region

The epizootic focus is located in the village of Akatnaya Maza. Quarantine for ASF in the Khvalynsky district was established on May 20. Within the boundaries of the outbreak and within a radius of 20 kilometers around, the entire population of pigs , pig products , inventory and feed stocks will be alienated and destroyed . All wooden buildings are to be demolished.

Visiting the infected area is prohibited, the territory of the pig farm is closed to outsiders. On May 22, a state of emergency was declared within the boundaries of the municipality.

The HEAD of the Khvalynsky district, Alik Sabriga, wrote on his TELEGRAM channel that about 8,000 animals were kept on the affected farm. The herd is insured, so the company's losses will be minimal.
