RUSSIA Baltic Pork Invest AS (RBPI) plans to commission pig farms in the Ardatovsky and Sergachsky districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2022, the Regional Development Corporation reported.

The total investment in both projects is almost 10 billion rubles.

Earlier it was reported that the construction of the 3rd and 4th pig farms, designed for 6 thousand sows and the production of 180 thousand pigs per year each, in the Ardatovsky and Sergachsky districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region is being carried out by Pravdinskoye Pig Production-2 LLC (PSP- 2, 100% subsidiary of RBPI). The commissioning of both complexes was scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021.

"Please note that investors often indicate approximate dates for putting objects into operation. Project implementation is a multi-stage work involving a large number of organizations, especially when it comes to a large investment project," the Corporation noted.

In addition, the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region told the agency that to date, there has been no decision by the UK RBPI GROUP to build a fifth pig farm in the Nizhny Novgorod Region (earlier it was reported that such plans were being discussed - IF).

Also, according to the Corporation, "MC RBPI Group" received a permit to build an enterprise for the primary processing of MEAT in the Vadsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The volume of investments in the project will amount to 7.36 billion rubles. It is planned to create 410 new jobs.

As previously reported, NNPP LLC (a subsidiary of RBPI) in 2016 built a pig farm for 6 thousand sows in the Vadsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Investments amounted to 3.2 billion rubles.

The construction of the second pig-breeding complex "NNPP-2" in the Bolshemurashkinsky district has been underway since September 2016. The complex has actually been operating since February 2018. The volume of investments in the project of a full-cycle pig-breeding complex with an estimated capacity of 6 thousand main sows and the production of 180 thousand pigs per year was estimated at 3.6 billion rubles.

In February 2018, RBPI and the Nizhny Novgorod region agreed to further expand the construction of pig farms in the region - the construction of the third and fourth complexes.

LLC "Pravdinskoe pig production-2" (PSP-2) is registered in the Kaliningrad region, the main activity is breeding pigs.

It was reported that PSP-2 plans to commission a meat processing plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region at the end of 2023. The volume of investments will be about 10 billion rubles. The project is planned to be implemented in the Vadsky municipal district. Full capacity is expected in 2024. The planned capacity of the first stage is about 1.2 million pigs per year, in the future it is planned to expand production to 2 million pigs per year. Meat processing production will receive raw materials from all pig farms in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Gazprombank and Charoen Pokphand Foods Group (CPF, a Thai investment fund, the main owner of RBPI Group) have agreed to finance the construction project of this high-tech pig slaughter and processing plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The parties signed an agreement on the main terms of financing for this project in June as part of SPIEF-2021. It was reported that the deal will be implemented on the principles of project financing under the program of concessional lending to agricultural producers of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. Funding details were not disclosed.
