Russians' spending on shashlik will increase in 2025: analysis of prices and consumer preferences

Among the products for shashlik, the price of MEAT reached 752 rubles per kilogram, which is 11% more than in March 2024. At the same time, Russians are actively buying meat for shashlik, increasing purchase volumes by 23%. Skewers also rose in price by 14%, amounting to an average of 348 rubles, and the number of their purchases increased by 34%.

The most popular types of meat for shashlik remain pork , chicken and lamb , but there is a growing interest in turkey, which may become a new trend. Despite the general rise in prices, basic types of meat, such as pork neck, have increased in price by only 3%, while chicken products have seen a decrease in prices: fillet has become cheaper by 10%, legs by 14%, and drumsticks by 20%.

In 2025, meat consumption in RUSSIA is expected to reach a record level of 84 kg per capita. Russians are expected to spend more on shashlik, especially if the spring is warm, which will increase the number of trips to the countryside. Therefore, it is worth planning shashlik picnics in advance and taking into account possible changes in the prices of meat products.
