Looking ahead to the end of 2025, Rabobank also forecasts that MEAT production will decline by 0.8% compared to 2024. The largest percentage drop in production in 2025 will be seen in New Zealand, while the largest decline in volumes will be seen in the United States.

A Rabobank report notes that US cattle supplies are declining , forcing major companies like Tyson Foods to close some of their major plants. Furthermore, CANADA is also seeing a decline in exports of approximately 41,000 tonnes due to reduced domestic supply, a trend that could intensify in 2026.

In New Zealand, beef production is also showing a downward trend as the number of animals available for slaughter decreases.

In response, Rabobank expects China's beef production to rise slightly in 2025, with prices to "slowly" recover as the market overcomes the previous supply glut.
