The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) has updated to 21 the number of countries that have adopted restrictions on poultry imports from Brazil.
The suspension is due to the detection of an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HIAI) in the municipality of Montenegro in Rio Grande do Sul.
- Complete suspension of poultry MEAT exports from Brazil: CHINA , European Union, Mexico, Iraq, South Korea , Chile, Philippines, South Africa, Peru, Albania, CANADA , Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Malaysia, Argentina, Timor-Leste, Morocco, India, Sri Lanka, North Macedonia and Pakistan.
- The suspension is limited to the state of Rio Grande do Sul (1 bloc + 13 countries): Eurasian Economic Union ( EAEU - RUSSIA , Belarus , Armenia, Kyrgyzstan), Saudi Arabia , Kuwait, United Kingdom , Angola, Turkey , Bahrain, Cuba, Montenegro, Namibia, Kazakhstan , Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tajikistan and Ukraine .
- The suspension is limited to the Municipality of Montenegro (RS) (4 countries): United Arab Emirates, Japan , Qatar and Jordan.
