Poultry farming in Dagestan is gaining momentum: development measures and industry potential

In 2022, the republic produced 150 thousand tons of poultry MEAT and 700 million eggs. This is 10% and 15% more, respectively, than in the previous year. Production growth is achieved through the construction of new poultry farms, modernization of existing production facilities and the introduction of modern technologies.

As part of state support for the agro-industrial complex of Dagestan, poultry farmers receive subsidies for the purchase of equipment, feed and breeding stock. In addition, the republic has preferential lending programs for poultry farms.

One example of the successful development of poultry farming in Dagestan is the project of Kizlyar Uritsky Meat Processing Plant LLC, implemented in the village of Kalinovka, Tarumovsky district. Thanks to the measures taken, production has already started in five buildings of the enterprise, and an additional building has been built. This made it possible to increase the volume of poultry meat production by 10%.

Another example of the successful development of poultry farming in Dagestan is the project of the Yuzhnaya Poultry Farm LLC, implemented in the village of Nizhneye Kazanishche, Buinaksky district. The company put into operation 12 poultry houses, which made it possible to increase poultry meat production by 20%.

In recent years, poultry farming in Dagestan has shown steady growth. Last year, the republic produced 50 thousand tons of poultry meat in slaughter weight, which is 10% more than in the previous year. This figure made it possible to meet the region's needs for poultry products by 40%.

The main producers of poultry meat in Dagestan are large enterprises located in the Khasavyurt, Kazbekovsky, Suleiman-Stalsky districts and the suburbs of Makhachkala. These enterprises are equipped with modern equipment and use advanced production technologies.

Despite the progress achieved, the need for poultry products in Dagestan is still not fully satisfied. Therefore, the republican authorities continue to support the development of the industry, allocating subsidies and grants to agricultural producers, as well as creating favorable conditions for attracting investment.

One of the major investment projects currently being implemented in Dagestan is the construction of a poultry complex in the village of Kalinovka, Kizlyar district. The project involves the construction of a poultry farm with a capacity of 100 thousand tons of poultry meat per year. The total cost of the project is more than 10 billion rubles.

The new poultry complex will be equipped with modern equipment and technologies, which will ensure high quality products and reduce production costs. The complex will have its own breeding herd, incubator and feed mill.

The construction of a poultry complex in Kalinovka will create more than 500 new jobs and make a significant contribution to the development of agriculture in Dagestan. In addition, the project will contribute to the development of related industries, such as crop production and processing of agricultural products.
