The measure should help the development of poultry production

Breeding poultry plants and farms will be able to count on state support. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The decision will contribute to increasing the raw material base for domestic poultry enterprises, further developing the production of poultry MEAT, as well as hatching eggs, the Cabinet believes.

“We are talking about reimbursement of part of the direct costs for the construction and modernization of complexes involved in the creation of breeding material for domestic poultry farmers. This support mechanism makes it possible to receive one-time funds from the federal budget for the development of agricultural enterprises. - Previously, such a tool could be used by enterprises engaged in, among other things, the creation or modernization of fruit storages and vegetable stores, dairy farms, selection and seed centers, sheep farms. Now such an opportunity will appear for those farmers who develop breeding poultry farming.”

According to the decree, the state compensates up to 20% of the cost of the implemented object. Support will be provided within the framework of the state program for the development of agriculture. According to the calculations of the Ministry of Agriculture, such a measure will help ensure the uninterrupted operation of poultry farms and by 2025 will almost completely replace imported breeding material with domestic ones.

DIRECTOR General of the National Union of Poultry Breeders Sergey Lakhtyukhov said that the measure of support for the construction and modernization of loudspeakers of the first and second order is very much expected by poultry enterprises. “We came up with this initiative last year, when we were working on possible support measures in a difficult economic situation, when production costs began to increase. We also talked about the need for complete import substitution of our breeding chain,” he said.

According to him, in recent years, dependence on imports of hatching eggs was about 20%. “The announcement of this support measure spurred poultry farmers to actively announce new projects for the construction of second-order loudspeakers,” said Lakhtyukhov. He also noted that full import substitution of breeding material is quite possible. “If the measure starts working as early as next year, provided that the regulatory legal act can apply to projects that have been launched in the last two years, in the next five to seven years we will be able to build our breeding chain,” the HEAD of the union believes.

In April, the government decided to allocate an additional 1 billion rubles. to support the production and processing of poultry products. “Agribusiness that works in this area has been given the opportunity to attract larger short-term loans at a reduced rate,” Mishustin said at the time. It was assumed that these measures should help balance supply and demand in the market, as well as help stabilize prices for socially important food products.
