Poultry farm "Zelenetskaya" in Komi will launch a feed mill for 2 billion rubles in 2022

The largest agricultural producer in Komi - JSC Zelenetskaya Poultry Farm - will complete this year its five-year project to build its own feed mill. Invested 2 billion rubles of the company's own funds, DIRECTOR of the poultry farm Nikolai Cherny told reporters on Thursday.

"We will complete the feed mill project this year, 2 billion rubles have been invested in it, all our own funds," Cherny told reporters.

The capacity of the plant is 30 tons of feed per hour, the elevator is designed for 79.5 thousand tons. This is an automated complex that will provide the production of various types of feed, in total more than 20 animal diet options. The plant will allow the poultry farm to create reserve stocks of grain for 1.5 years and not depend on fluctuations in prices for it.

On Thursday, the production was visited by State Duma Vice Speaker Anna Kuznetsova. In her opinion, the potential of the poultry farm is huge. "The republic and several other regions of RUSSIA will be fully fed here. Dozens of stores, that is, a full cycle - from growing poultry to selling. Today, seeing such enterprises, you know for sure that there are new opportunities for development under sanctions," Kuznetsova told reporters.

According to the director of the poultry farm, today production is 40% dependent on imported components, equipment and components for it, vitamin supplements, amino acids, and so on are imported. Thus, a supplier of chickens from the Moscow region replenished its livestock with supplies from the United States. Due to a sharp jump in the DOLLAR and the euro, the cost of poultry production increased by 15%, but the company raised prices by an average of 5% so that it would not hurt buyers, Cherny said.

At the same time, the company finds Russian analogues of equipment that is cheaper and more reliable than imported ones. So, in Yekaterinburg, equipment for the production of dumplings was produced for Zelenetskaya. It successfully replaced the Italian mixer, which had worked for only six months. Another analogue of imported equipment was produced in Chelyabinsk, the director said. “We will have enough grain until the end of the year. The rest must be constantly bought, but we cannot keep everything all the time, we do not have such storage facilities. The problem now is soybean meal, we are now taking it from the Far East. Everything seems to have been discussed on time, but shipments no, I had to order a small batch from St. Petersburg," the HEAD explained.

He assured the vice-speaker of the State Duma that the poultry farm has reserves to increase production volumes. "We can increase the volume of egg production, today we are reconstructing the poultry house. We can increase the production of poultry MEAT, but for this we need to build more workshops for growing. Today we have the capacity for an incubator, for a replacement herd. If we need meat, we will be able to do it," Black said.
