Pskovstat: agricultural producers of the region began to give preference to pig breeding

Agricultural producers began to give preference to pig breeding more and more. According to the territorial body of state statistics, the number of pigs in the region has more than doubled since 2016 - from 781.2 thousand heads to 1617.7 thousand heads in 2021.

“At the same time, the dynamics of the number of cattle and poultry in agricultural organizations is negative,” Pskovstat noted.

Recall that in 2021 in the Pskov region, during the agricultural micro-census, experts interviewed 189 agricultural organizations, 205 peasant (farmer) households and individual entrepreneurs, 387 NGOs and 185 thousand personal subsidiary plots in villages and villages.
