Protests in France worry lamb exporters

Auctioneers say that while prices for finished goods were strong last week, supply could catch up with demand if retail markets remain calm and EXPORT markets remain volatile.

Rizwan Khalid, managing DIRECTOR of Shropshire-based exporter Euro Quality Lambs, told Farmers Weekly that the protests in France were already having an impact on logistics. As a result of the protests, Khalid said there were currently fewer buyers at the Rungis international market in Paris, which was affecting sales .
