Egg production in the Astrakhan region doubled in the first quarter of 2025

The main factor contributing to this growth was the resumption of work at Vladimirovskaya Poultry Farm LLC, which was closed for quarantine in 2024 due to an outbreak of bird flu. Quarantine measures were lifted in May 2024, and egg production at the factory resumed in September.

In 2024, egg production in the region decreased by 37% compared to 2023, amounting to 259 million pieces. In 2025, it is planned to increase production to 380 million pieces, which will fully satisfy the annual need of the population of the Astrakhan region, which is about 247 million eggs. There are three large poultry farms in the region: "Kharabalinskaya", "Vladimirovskaya" and OOO "Alanar Agro", which produce more than 95% of the total egg production.
