In January-March 2021, the Tambov region produced 133.6 thousand tons of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight, which is 5.4% less than in the same period last year, Tambovstat reports.
MILK for the reporting period was produced 18.4 thousand tons (an increase of 0.4%).
As of April 1, the number of cattle in the farms of the region amounted to 29.2 thousand animals (a decrease by 6.2%), including cows - 12.4 thousand heads (a decrease by 1.1%); pigs - 1 million heads (decrease by 7.8%), sheep and goats - 5.4 thousand (decrease by 2.2%), poultry - 15 million (growth by 2.8%).
