Meat production on Sakhalin in 2021 increased by 9.9%

As of June 1, 2021, Sakhalin farmers produced 5.9 thousand tons of livestock and poultry (MEAT in live weight) of their own production, 17.7 thousand tons of MILK, which is higher than the level of the previous year by 9.9% and 5.6% accordingly, eggs - 57.6 million pieces, which is 0.5% lower than the level of the previous year.

In farms of all categories, the number of cattle as of June 1, 2021 amounted to 29.7 thousand heads, including cows - 12.1 thousand, an increase compared to the date of the same period of the previous year - by 7.4% and 3.7%, respectively . The number of pigs decreased by 3.3% and amounted to 50.0 thousand heads.

In agricultural organizations, the number of cattle amounted to 17.9 thousand heads, including cows - 7.2 thousand, an increase relative to the date of the same period of the previous year - by 6.4% and 2.7%, respectively. The number of pigs decreased by 2.1% and amounted to 46.7 thousand heads.

As of June 1, 2021, 6.9 thousand tons of potatoes were sold in agricultural organizations, 7.1 thousand tons of vegetables, an increase compared to the date of the same period of the previous year - by 5.7% and 1.1%, respectively, livestock and poultry - 5.1 thousand tons, milk - 12.3 thousand tons, an increase relative to the date of the same period of the previous year - by 13.3% and 8.6%, respectively, the sale of eggs amounted to 47.0 million units, which is lower than the level of the previous year by 2.5%.
