
Beef production in RUSSIA is recovering. In the first half of the year, farms of all categories received 629 thousand tons in slaughter weight (1104 thousand tons in live weight) - 0.7% more than in the same period in 2022.
The country is dominated by industrial production of beef: 47.7% of the total output is provided by agricultural organizations, the share of peasant farms is 11.5%, and 40.8% of this type of MEAT is obtained from households.
it is in the industrial production segment that the most noticeable growth is observed (+4.2%, up to 300 thousand tons), farms also added (1.4%, up to 72.5 thousand tons). In the households, the situation is less favorable: in the first half of the year, the indicators decreased by 3.2%, to the level of 257 thousand tons.
By July 1, the total number of cattletotaled 18.2 million heads, which is 1.1% less than in the same period last year. The number of cows decreased by 0.7%, to 7.8 million heads. Agricultural enterprises maintain 44% of the livestock, over the year it slightly decreased (-0.6%) and now has 8 million 017 thousand. However, in some regions the dynamics is positive: in the South of the country, the livestock increased by 5% (+27.8 thousand). ), and in the North Caucasus grew by 1.7% (+4.4 thousand).
In January-June, the total volume of the beef market in the country amounted to 736 thousand tons in carcass weight, which is 1.5% less than the same period in 2022. At the same time, the share of imported products in the domestic market is 17% (for comparison: in January-June 2022 - 16%).
Average level of wholesale prices (in ruble terms) for domestic beefand by-products in Russia increased by 3.4% over the month, but decreased by 3.4% over the year. At the end of July, beef half-carcasses of domestic production were offered at 351.2 rubles per kilogram (+0.6% per month), while their cost increased by 18.1% over the year. The average price for trimming (80% lean) is 278.9 rubles (+3.9%; -10.0%), for tenderloin - 1042 rubles (+5%; -9.3%). Beef liver can be purchased at wholesale for 216.7 rubles per kilogram (+0.3%; -16.2%); heart fell to 207.4 rubles (-6.3%; -9.4%).
