The production of cheeses, butter, poultry MEAT and other goods is planned to be increased in the Stavropol Territory in 2023. On average, production growth in some areas is predicted by 7%, the HEAD of the regional Ministry of Economic Development, Denis Polyubin, said on Tuesday in the TELEGRAM channel.
"This year, following the instructions of Governor Vladimir Vladimirov to increase the volume of processing, we plan to maintain the dynamics in the production of food products and even increase in certain categories by an average of 7% due to the loading of existing capacities, their modernization and the commissioning of new production facilities," he wrote. .
As the press service of the regional Ministry of Economic Development explained to TASS, in 2023, production growth is predicted in at least six areas from 5% to 25%. it is planned to increase the production of cheese by 25% - up to 4.5 thousand tons, butter by 10% - up to 6.5 thousand tons, poultry meat by 8% - up to 375 thousand tons, pasta by 5% - up to 65 thousand tons, vegetable oil by 5% - up to 71 thousand tons, mineral water by 5% - up to 1,100 million half liters.
“We analyzed the financial and production sustainability of food enterprises in the region at the end of 2022. The main problem was the increase in prices for raw materials, auxiliary materials and packaging, which reached 50% compared to the beginning of 2022. <…> Due to problems with logistics, the terms were extended supplies of equipment, spare parts and components. Price growth for them has reached 70%, and in some cases the price has increased significantly," Polyubin said.
The government of the region notes that the producers of Stavropol were able to restructure their work in 2022, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of enterprises. The region is considering the possibility of organizing the production of critical components for the food industry.
