Agricultural production in Russia is expected to recover: growth of 4.4% in 2025

According to both forecast options, the worst results in the next three years will be 1.7%, 1.6% and 2.9%. Expectations have been increased in 2026 compared to the September 2024 forecast . The reason for these changes was new data from Rosstat, according to which last year the volume of agricultural production fell by 3.2%, but in the first quarter of 2025, growth of 1.7% in annual comparison has already been noted.
In 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture also forecasts a general increase in agricultural production by 7.9% compared to the 2021 level in comparable prices, with crop production growing by 15.3% and livestock production by 7.7%. The profitability level of agricultural organizations is expected to be 14.8%.
As an important aspect of the economy, agriculture will continue to receive support through various measures aimed at stabilizing and growing the sector.
