In terms of exports, ABPA forecasts total shipments in 2023 to be between 5.05 and 5.15 million tonnes, up 6.8% from 2022's 4.822 million tonnes. In 2024 , international sales could range from 5.2 to 5.3 million tonnes, representing an increase of up to 3.9% over exports forecast for 2023.
Domestic chicken MEAT supplies in 2023 are expected to reach 9.8 million tons, exceeding the 2022 volume of 9.702 million tons by almost 1%. In 2024, domestic availability should range from 10 to 10.150 million tonnes, reflecting an increase of up to 3.6% compared to this year's volume forecast.
In terms of per capita consumption, the forecast shows that the figure will reach 46 kilograms per capita in 2023, an increase of 1.8% compared to the consumption recorded in 2022, which was 45.2 kilograms. In 2024, projected per capita consumption could reach 47 kilograms, which is 2.2% more than expected in 2023.
