In the Russian Federation, chicken and eggs are guaranteed to rise in price by the fall of 2021. Kirill Ermolenko, the HEAD of the peasant farm, a member of the information policy committee of the regional branch of the Party of Growth in the Samara region, told a REGNUM correspondent on August 9 about this.

“As for animal husbandry and MEAT prices in the Russian Federation, the situation here is also not happy,” he said. - Hay for winter keeping of cows for meat or MILK will no longer be enough, livestock breeders will have to feed the animals with straw and additional grain, and this will increase the cost of milk and meat production, which will further affect prices, and closer to January we will see a rise in prices in retail stores. And some farmers who cannot afford more expensive keeping of cows in winter will first massively slaughter animals for meat, and this will even slightly reduce the price of beef, but by January the price will still be higher.”

As for the prices for poultry meat and eggs, then, as Yermolenko explained, the situation is even worse here.

“The production of eggs and chicken is very dependent on the cost of grain and electricity. We already see that the price of grain is going up, which means that chicken and eggs are guaranteed to go up in price by autumn. The minimum increase in prices for bread by the end of the year is 30%, beef - 20%, chicken meat - 20-25%, eggs - 23% Similar growth will be not only in the Russian Federation, but also in Europe, Asia, the usa , and in general in the world,” said Yermolenko.

Recall, as REGNUM reported, earlier the Russian Ministry of Agriculture was recommended to consider the possibility of a temporary ban on wheat exports.
