
Such a decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishutin on December 30, 2024. Duty rates will be increased by an average of 10 percentage points in the range from 5 to 20%. These changes will affect certain types of meat and fish products, canned vegetables, fruits , nuts, confectionery and flour products, as well as sauces and soft drinks.
The list includes more than 180 items, but supplies of baby food that meet the technical regulations of the EAEU and the Customs Union will not be burdened with new duties. The increase in duties is seen as a measure aimed at stimulating investment and developing domestic production, in response to international sanctions .
