The Ambassador of Belarus visited Damate turkey processing plants

The visit was part of the program of the working visit of the Brest region delegation to the Penza region. it included the Governor of the Brest region Yuri Shuleiko, representatives of the municipal authorities , the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus, the Brest Science and Technology Park and the business community.

The Damate factories in the Nizhnelomovsky district of the Penza region , located in close proximity to one another, are part of the holding’s large-scale project to create a production complex to produce 207 thousand tons of products per year.

Oleg Melnichenko told the guests about the results of the activities of the Damate group of companies in the region, noting that out of 216 thousand tons of turkey MEAT in slaughter weight sold by the holding’s enterprises in 2022, 166 thousand tons were produced in the Penza region. 

For five years, Damate has been leading the Russian ranking of turkey producers, maintaining its position as one of the European leaders in this sub-sector of poultry farming and ranking 5th in the world in terms of production volumes.

After the sightseeing tour, Dmitry Krutoy stated that the holding’s production facilities have no analogues in RUSSIA in terms of the level of technical equipment and the number of implemented innovative solutions - information technology and artificial intelligence.

The vertically integrated complex includes all stages of the process of growing, fattening and processing turkeys: from crop production to feed production and incubation. Since 2012, in financial partnership with Rosselkhozbank, Damate has been gradually implementing the project and reaching the finish line. The amount of investment amounted to 74 billion rubles. Turkey-breeding and processing enterprises in the Penza region employ 5.5 thousand people.

The turkey slaughter and processing plant operates 51 production lines, guaranteeing the highest level of product safety and quality. The simultaneous production of its various categories significantly reduces the time it takes to generate orders. The period from the start of poultry cutting to the shipment of finished products does not exceed the duration of the shift.

Production operates in a mode that fully complies with the requirements of the most complex segment of the food industry “ultra-fresh”, which provides one of the main competitive advantages: the production of 80% of products of a fixed weight. The product line includes more than 400 items under the brands “Indilight” and “Only!” — including a variety of chopped semi-finished turkey products.

The company's products serve as raw materials for a turkey deep processing plant, which produces 303 tons of products daily, which are highly in demand in the domestic and foreign markets. Automated lines are composed of more than 500 pieces of equipment. The assortment includes dry-cured sausages , hams, cooked sausages and sausage products, sous vide culinary products and other unique trade offers with 100 percent turkey meat in the composition.

The products of the Damate factories in the Nizhnelomovsky district of the Penza region are sold through retail chains in all regions of Russia and a number of foreign countries, including Belarus .
