Poland: ASF cases among wild boars are growing at an alarming rate

The epidemiological situation of African swine fever ( ASF ) in Poland has improved compared to 2018-2021, but recently there has been an alarming increase in the number of cases among wild boars, and the situation looks worse than in 2022. More than 70 new cases have been confirmed over the past few weeks.

The outbreaks were mainly found in the Lower Silesian, Lublin and West Pomeranian voivodeships, in the so-called red zones.
