The number of sheep and goats increased in the Nizhny Novgorod region by 43%

The number of agricultural organizations in the Nizhny Novgorod region increased by 43.3% over the year. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

The number of cattle decreased by 0.5%, including the number of cows decreased by 0.6%. The number of pigs decreased by 5%, while the number of poultry increased by 10.9%.

The production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 1.1%, and milk - by 2.8%. At the same time, egg production decreased by 4.4%.

Milk yield per cow was 1,298 kg, which is 45 kg more than in the past, and laying hens had 51 eggs, that is, 4 more than in February 2020.
