At the moment, equipment has been replaced and workshops No. 14 and No. 16 have been reconstructed at the Lysogorsk poultry farm. In order to improve the living conditions of the birds, cages for laying hens were replaced, a new ventilation system was installed, and the manure removal system was updated. In addition, the automated feeding system was replaced with an improved modification. To update the floors in the poultry houses, modern technology of pouring concrete with topping was used, and the roofs were repaired. The entire renovation is expected to be completed by December 2023.
Next in line for reconstruction in January 2024 is the eighth workshop, which specializes in keeping young poultry. The reconstruction project will increase the number of laying hens by 63 thousand, which will bring the total number of poultry places at the enterprise to 942 thousand.
It is worth noting that the Lysogorsk poultry farm is the only two-story industrial workshop in the Saratov region with a capacity of 168 thousand birds. It was put into operation in 2022 thanks to financial support from the state through the Agroprogress grant. This workshop is fully automated, which allows it to be serviced by only three employees.
In addition to reconstructing and updating equipment, the Lysogorsk poultry farm actively participates in weekend agricultural fairs organized in the regional center and municipal areas on behalf of the governor Roman Busargin. For example, last Saturday the company brought 50,000 eggs to the fair on Teatralnaya Square.
In total, there are 13 poultry farms in the Saratov region. From January to September of this year, 772.3 million eggs were produced in the region, which is 101.7% of last year’s level, noted Aleksey Molchanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region for the development of the livestock industry.
