A livestock complex for 1.2 thousand heads of cattle will be built in the Lev-Tolstovsky district of the Lipetsk region. This implies an agreement signed on Thursday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum between the region's administration and Volgo-Don AgroInvest, the managing company of the AGROINVEST Group.

The document implies the implementation of three investment projects at once. "The largest of them is the construction of a livestock complex for 1.2 thousand heads of cattle in the Lev-Tolstovsky district, which will create 50 new jobs," Governor of the region Igor Artamonov explained at the signing ceremony. In addition, according to him, the holding is investing 1.4 billion rubles in the modernization of two modern complexes for storing, drying and processing grain in the Dankovsky and Usmansky districts. "The total investment in new projects will amount to 2.8 billion rubles," Artamonov said.

In this regard, he recalled that the dairy industry for the region is one of the most important areas for the development of agriculture. "We are interested in investors modernizing production facilities, applying modern technologies in dairy complexes, all this contributes to an increase in milk production, stimulates the development of animal husbandry, and consumers can receive quality products from local producers," Artamonov emphasized.
