SPIEF-2021: Cherkizovo invests 48 billion rubles

Cherkizovo Group plans to create a plant for slaughter, storage and processing of pork with a capacity of 4.2 million heads per year in the Tula region, the volume of investments will be about 48 billion rubles, 2,200 new jobs will be created.

The cooperation agreement between the company, the regional authorities and JSC Gazprombank was signed on Thursday at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the regional government reported.

"In the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Governor Alexei Dyumin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Gazprombank Alexei Matveev and Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC Cherkizovo Group Sergei Mikhailov signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the investment project "Construction of a plant for slaughter, storage and processing of pork meat with a capacity of 4.2 million heads per year in the Tula region. "The volume of investments is about 48 billion rubles, 2,200 new jobs will be created," the press service said.

SPIEF-2021: Lamb for 17 thousand

The press service noted that the creation of a new enterprise will contribute to the formation of Russia's largest meat processing cluster in the Efremov priority development area (TOP).

The ASEZ in the single-industry town of Efremov was created in March 2018 by decree of the Russian government. For residents, preferences are provided for property, profit and land taxes.
