The poultry industry is gradually recovering after a difficult 2020 - a sharp increase in feed prices has complicated the maintenance of livestock and reduced the profitability of the business. This year the situation has stabilized, poultry farmers were able to increase production rates
In the Stavropol Territory, for 8 months of 2021, poultry farmers increased production figures by 3.7%.
In all categories of farms, 586 million eggs were produced. More than half of the volumes were provided by C (F) Kh and private household plots, which contain 65% of the total number of laying hens. The rest of the products were supplied by poultry farms in the region.
At present, the production of chicken eggs in the Stavropol Territory is carried out by Alliance Poultry Complex LLC in the Blagodarnensky District, Grachevskaya Poultry Farm LLC in the Grachevsky District, Kumskaya Poultry Farm LLC in the Georgievsky District. Since the end of 2020, the Preobrazhenskaya poultry farm in the Budyonnovsky District has joined these enterprises, where 12 production buildings have already been built and put into operation, modern high-tech equipment has been installed and more than 40 million eggs have been received since the beginning of the year.
- We use only natural feed, so the shelf life of our products is only 7 days. This means that it is one of the highest quality on the market. Stavropol fresh dietary eggs are readily bought both in our region and in Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, North Ossetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory. With the support of KSK, we plan to expand our capabilities, - said Alexander Onezhko, General Director of Preobrazhenskaya Poultry Farm LLC.
The investment project is being implemented with the support of JSC "Resorts of the North Caucasus" - at the moment, the construction of the largest poultry farm in the Stavropol Territory in the village of Preobrazhenskoye, Budyonnovsky District, has entered the final stage. After reaching the design capacity in 2022, the enterprise will be able to produce more than 200 million eggs per year, produce bird feed, and subsequently engage in deep processing of eggs into melange, egg powder.
- Agriculture and agro-industrial complex are among the priority sectors for investment by KSK. We are ready to continue to consider interesting projects of the initiators for implementation not only in the Stavropol Territory, but also on the territory of the entire North Caucasus District, - said Andrey Tsemakhovich, First Deputy General Director of North Caucasus Resorts JSC.
State support measures also contribute to the development of the poultry industry in the region: in particular, until the end of this year, farms and enterprises can receive a subsidy to reimburse part of the costs of feed, electricity, zootechnical and veterinary services, and wages to employees of poultry farms aimed at the production and sale of chicken eggs. For these purposes, 25 million rubles were allocated from the regional treasury.
In addition, as part of the implementation of the “Development of Agriculture of the Russian Federation” program in 2021, the Government of the Russian Federation will compensate up to 20% of the cost of construction and modernization of complexes that specialize in creating breeding material for Russian poultry farmers.
- Now the region's need for food chicken eggs is completely closed. By the end of this year, about 800-900 million units will be produced in the Stavropol Territory, despite the fact that own needs are 600-650 million units annually, - said Alexei Krisan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
