First results of the electronic exchange and livestock market in the Kostroma region

The event participants were introduced to the capabilities of the electronic exchange, as well as the concept of the development of small and medium-sized agricultural producers using the created ground infrastructure. During the meeting, the first results of the platform’s functioning were announced and contacts were exchanged for further cooperation.

Thus, a farmer from the Kologriv region sold 8 heads of cattle through an electronic platform for the first time. The buyer was a MEAT processing enterprise in the Galich region. As part of this transaction, the farmer signed all the necessary documents to join the trading system as a broker, with the intention of creating a livestock market. The farmer is currently undergoing training in e-commerce and has already established communication with neighboring agricultural enterprises for cooperation and organizing sales. The buyer-processor noted the high quality of the purchased cattle and is ready to make further purchases through the electronic exchange.

The agricultural organization of the Galich region has completed electronic auctions for the sale of a batch of bull calves for fattening. As a result of the trading, the price reached 263.78 rubles per kilogram of live weight, and the deal will be closed in December 2023.

The agricultural consumer processing cooperative of the Sharya district, which expressed a desire to work with the electronic exchange, was provided with a presentation to familiarize itself with electronic commerce. Detailed negotiations are scheduled for early December.

To improve regional veterinary safety, specialists from the Kostroma Regional Veterinary Laboratory will undergo advanced training courses in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques. The training will be conducted by the company "DNA-Technology" with the development of modern approaches to epizootic express monitoring of the status of cattle .
