
85% of total exports went to Taiwan, a country whose importance for this sector continues to grow following the lifting of tariffs on Paraguayan pork in July of this year. Other markets for Paraguayan pork include Uruguay (8%) and Brazil (5%).
Along with the growth in pork exports, sales of pork offal abroad have also increased. In 2024 , as of the end of August, 21,000 kg of offal were exported, and this year, over 160,000 kg of this product have already been shipped.
In terms of economic value, pork offal exports increased by 531%, reaching revenues of over US $93,000 .
Until the end of 2023, pork exports generated less than $20 million in annual revenue for Paraguay. In 2024, this figure will increase to over $33 million, and the remaining four months of 2025 are already recording higher figures.
By the end of August, a total of 247,577,236 kg of beef had been exported, surpassing all previous records for this period of the year. These shipments generated $1.425 billion in revenue for the sector.
The top destination for these exports was Chile, with over 77 million kilograms shipped, followed by Taiwan, with over 33 million kilograms of beef shipped.
Other important markets are Israel (23.6 million kg), the United States (22.8 million kg), Brazil (13 million kg) and RUSSIA (similar amount).
