
According to official data from the National Animal HEALTH and Quality Service (Senacsa), Paraguay exported more than 149.5 million kg of beef in the first five months of 2025, an 18% increase in volume and 37% increase in value compared to the same period last year.
A Senacsa report published this Monday shows that overseas beef sales generated revenue of nearly $848 million through May. Chile was the top destination for Paraguayan beef, purchasing over 45 million kilograms, followed by Taiwan with over 20 million, the United States with 18.6 million, and Israel with 12.1 million kilograms.
Paraguay's foreign MEAT trade continues to strengthen, with significant growth across all sectors and consolidation in key markets such as Chile and Taiwan.
Pork exports surge
Pork exports also showed significant growth, with 5.6 million kg shipped abroad, valued at $15.7 million. This volume is 40% higher than the same period in 2024 .
A notable fact is that 81% of the EXPORT value was sold to Taiwan, which cemented its status as the main market for Paraguayan pork.
Poultry meat and its growing international presence
Meanwhile, poultry meat sales abroad reached nearly 2.2 million kg as of May, generating $3.5 million. According to official data, more than 70% of these exports went to Iraq, Albania, Vietnam , and Angola.
