The rating of regions by meat production in the first quarter of 2024 has been published

In January–March, livestock enterprises in the Belgorod Region produced 472.3 thousand live weight meat, which brought the region to first place in Russia. The second and third positions are occupied by the Voronezh and Kursk Regions with total volumes of 173.6 thousand and 173.4 thousand tons, respectively.

Fourth place went to Bryansk region (165.6 thousand tons), fifth to Tambov region (156.3 thousand tons).

Thus, the TOP-5 included regions of the Central Federal District. The leader of the Northwestern Federal District is the Pskov Region (98.8 thousand tons). In the Southern Federal District, the leader is the Krasnodar Territory (133.1 thousand tons), in the North Caucasus - the Stavropol Territory (133.1 thousand tons).

In the Volga Federal District, the highest result was in the Penza Region - 121.4 thousand tons, in the Urals Federal District - in the Chelyabinsk Region (88.3 thousand tons). In Siberia, the leading meat producer is the Altai Territory (54.6 thousand tons), in the Far East - Primorsky Territory (19.4 thousand tons).
