The Agrostartup grant, with the help of which the chicken farm was launched , is provided within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives,” which is being implemented by decision of President Vladimir Putin. For the allocated funds, the farmer purchased a production facility for keeping poultry and an incubator , and also chose a humanized approach to poultry farming.
The choice of poultry farming as a direction of activity did not happen by chance.
Nikita's father, Vladimir, has been breeding turkeys for a long time, selling dietary farm MEAT and selling turkeys in his own retail outlets. However, over time, many requests arose from buyers for chicken meat and eggs , so Nikita decided to develop this area. His business project successfully passed the defense and received support from the state.
They currently have 700 laying hens on their farm, which in total produce approximately 550 eggs daily. The goal for the current year is to double the number of eggs to meet market demand.
The number of broilers in Sokovninka is currently 3,500 birds. Meat ripening period is up to 55 days. Young carcasses weighing half a kilo, popular tobacco chickens weighing 800-900 grams, as well as mature birds aged 55 days, weighing from 3 to 3.5 kilograms are available for sale.
– We chose floor storage for ourselves - it’s easier to maintain the required temperature and humidity. In addition, the bird moves more and experiences less stress. In the warm season, we have the opportunity to walk - green grass and vitamin D make our meat and eggs more tasty and healthy,” noted farm manager Evgeniy Maksimov.
