. Rospotrebnadzor specialists conducted an analysis and identified the presence of Citrobakter, Enterobacter and Klebsiella bacteria in the meat of these suppliers. Particularly alarming is the presence of the Klebsiella bacterium, which not only causes intoxication, diarrhea, abdominal pain and fever, but also reduces protein levels in the blood, which can lead to liver and kidney problems.

The rapid spread of this information has caused concern among consumers, especially given the fact that in Russia, buffalo meat from India is often sold as beef. In this regard, Rospotrebnadzor decided to tighten control over the products of three Indian companies, starting from April 19.
